Fantastic Saving I Prouvé Antony chair (EX-DISPLAY)

Ce siège créé au début des années cinquante pour la cité universitaire d’Antony, près de Paris, est l’une des dernières oeuvres de Prouvé dans le domaine du design mobilier. Ce siège unique en son genre se distingue par une structure surprenante que Prouvé a su marier à des lignes d’une dynamique frappante.

Piètement en tôle et tube d’acier mélaminé, coque d’assise en bois stratifié façonné, placage chêne avec effets bois naturel.

  

The frame is made of lacquered tubular and sheet steel and the seat shell is made from moulded wood, oak veneer.

Designed at the beginning of the 1950s for the cité universitaire at Antony, near Paris, this chair was one of Prouvé's last efforts in the field of furniture design. The salient feature of this unique item of seating furniture is its unconventional construction, which Prouvé successfully combined with a strikingly dynamic shape.  This is an ex-showroom display piece with 30% discount off the normal retail price, very good condition. The chair available has a white frame.
