The Pedrera Floor Lamp, or PD2 from Gubi, was designed as part of a large building refurbishment project. In 1955, the property company behind Gaudi's famous building La Pedrera in Barcelona wanted to convert the attics, which were primarily used for storage, into flats. The company therefore contacted the Spanish architect Barba Corsini.
